Description
The business plan is designed to assess the prospects for the construction and subsequent operation of a carbon dioxide production plant. A study conducted by the DISCOVERY Research Group showed that there is widespread demand for dry ice in various American industries. Moreover, in some regions there is a shortage of this type of product, especially in summer. According to available data, liquid carbon dioxide (67%) enjoys the greatest demand from consumers, followed by dry ice (21%) and gaseous carbon dioxide (12%).The main consumers are producers of carbonated beverages, trading enterprises and transport companies. In addition, carbon dioxide is in demand from a number of engineering plants and manufacturers of fire extinguishers.
At the first stage, it is planned to build a plant that processes waste smoke gases from the boiler house of the municipal heat and power plant and produces carbon dioxide with its subsequent sale to consumers. It is also planned to organize a site for the repair and certification of steel gas cylinders.
At the same time under the commodity carbon dioxide is understood:
• liquefied CO2 of different condition in 25 kg cylinders;
• liquid carbon dioxide sold by small and large bulk;
• dry ice in three types (briquettes, pieces, granules).
At the second stage, it is planned to build a storage facility to create a stock of manufactured products, as well as a line for the production of fire extinguishers and fire fighting equipment and their refueling.
This project was developed for the first stage, which will require investments of about $ 1.2 million. The land area required for construction is about 4 hectares. The staffing provides for the creation of 50 jobs. As a result of this project, a plant will be built to produce carbon dioxide and dry ice, complying with the international quality certificate ISO 9000.
