Brief report description According to the data, in 2010-2014 the volume of sales of civilian weapons in Australia increased by 66.1%: from 150.4 thousand units to 249.7 thousand units. The most significant growth in sales was observed in 2013 and amounted to 24.3% compared with the previous year. The main factors behind the growth in sales of civilian weapons in 2010-2014 were a smooth increase in the number of customers, expanding the range of products, as well as the active development of extreme recreational areas.
According to the results of 2014, in the structure of natural sales, the self-defense weapon holds the leading position with a share of 50.1% - 125.0 thousand units. The second place in terms of sales is occupied by rifled civilian weapons with a share of 37.0% - 92.4 thousand units. Smooth-bore civilian weapons ranks third in the volume of natural sales - 12.9%, which is equivalent to 32.3 thousand units.
