BusinesStat estimates that in the period from 2008 to 2012 sales of screw springs from ferrous metals in the world grew by 9.9%, reaching 2.79 million tons in 2012. The decrease was recorded only in 2009 - by 19.1 % relative to the previous year. The largest increase in sales was recorded in 2010 - by 25.3%.
In 2008-2012, China and the United States were the leaders in sales of ferrous helical springs in the world: these countries accounted for an average of 27% and 9.7% of global sales. The largest sales growth in 2008–2012 was recorded in Turkey and Russia: ¬– 45 and 41%, respectively.
The volume of world foreign trade in ferrous coil springs is inferior to that of domestic trade. In 2008-2012, the share of domestic production in the sales of screw springs from ferrous metals in the world ranged from 81.8% in 2009 to 75.6% in 2012.
