Sales of containers for compressed or liquefied gas in the world grew annually in 2010-2014, with the exception of 2014. During the study period, the volume of products sold increased by 17.4%: from 33.9 million units in 2010 to 39.8 million units in 2014, the main growth driver was the increase in demand for gas fuel in the automotive industry. In many countries of the world, programs are being developed for the conversion of motor vehicles to gas, including in Russia in 2014, the State program "The introduction of gas-engine equipment with the division into separate subprograms on road, rail, sea, river, air transport and special-purpose equipment" was adopted . In addition, the world is actively developing the segment of heating of individual houses or groups of houses using gas technologies, which also contributed to the increase in sales of containers for compressed or liquefied gas.
In 2014, more than 64% of the sales of containers for compressed or liquefied gas in the world accounted for the import trade. During the period from 2010 to 2014, their world imports grew by 13%: from 22.7 million units in 2010 to 25.6 million units in 2014. At the same time, the largest increase in the indicator compared to the previous year was observed in 2013 - 24, 2%. The growth of prices for imported products in 2013 contributed significantly to growth - by 16.8% compared to 2012.
According to forecasts of BusinesStat, in 2019 the global volume of sales of containers for compressed or liquefied gas will amount to 44.3 million units, which will exceed the amount of goods sold in 2014 by 11.4%.
