In 2012, imports of rapeseed oil in the world reached 5.8 million tons, exceeding the value of 2008. In 2008-2012, the United States and China were the largest importers of rapeseed oil in the world. At the highest price, the product was imported to Slovakia, at the lowest price - to India and China.
From 2008 to 2012, the export of rapeseed oil in the world increased and in 2012 amounted to 6.0 million tons.
The reduction was observed only in 2012 - by 3.0%. The reason for the reduction was the decline in world production of rapeseed oil by 3.7% due to the low yield of oilseeds. In 2008-2012, the largest shares in the world exports of rapeseed oil belonged to Canada, the Netherlands and Germany. The highest export price is fixed for shipments from Japan. At the lowest price, the product was exported from Korea.
