From 2010 to 2014, sales of cotton yarn in the world increased by 9.4%: from 12.6 million tons to 13.8 million tons. Sales of products in the world grew annually, except for 2011, when sales decreased by almost 3 % compared to 2010. In subsequent years, sales of cotton yarn grew by an average of 4% per year.
At the end of 2014, the largest sales of cotton yarn in the world were recorded in China. The volume of sales in this country in 2014 amounted to 4.32 million tons (31.2%). Pakistan is in second place in terms of actual sales, where in 2014, 2.75 million tons of goods (19.9%) were sold. India ranked third with sales of 2.06 million tons of cotton yarn (14.9%). It is worth noting Turkey, where in 2014 1.17 million tons of products were sold (8.4%). The total share in these countries in 2014 amounted to 74.4% of the natural sales of cotton yarn.
BusinesStat estimates that in 2015-2019 cotton yarn sales in the world will grow by an average of 3.4% per year. In 2019, global sales will amount to 16.3 million tons of finished products. The main factor in the increase in sales volumes is the growing demand for products from textile enterprises.
